A brand system your website enforces, not a PDF nobody opens.

Most small-business 'brand guidelines' are a PDF with a logo and two hex codes, ignored from the day it's delivered. A brand that holds together online has to live where the site lives: tokens, type scales and component styles that every new page inherits automatically.

The approach

Filed under Working together. The ways teams and agencies plug me into their work.

I build web-first brand systems, refining or creating your logo and palette, defining typography that works at every screen size, and shipping it all as a living styleguide page plus design tokens wired straight into your WordPress theme or Next.js codebase.

What the engagement includes

05 deliverables · all in the quoted price

01The headline deliverable

Visual identity

Logo refinement or creation, color palette with accessibility-checked pairings, and usage rules.

02

Web typography system

Typeface selection, fluid type scale and hierarchy tested on real content at real widths.

03

Component styling

Buttons, forms, cards and navigation styled once as the reference for everything after.

04

Living styleguide page

A page on your own site showing every token and component, the single source of truth.

05

Design tokens in code

Colors, spacing and type shipped as CSS variables or theme settings, not just a document.

How it runs

Same four beats on every engagement, this one included. No discovery-call theater.

01

Brief in plain language

Describe the project the way you'd say it out loud. Links, deadlines and a rough budget all help.

02

Written quote in one business day

A fixed range and a recommendation, plus an honest note if this service isn't the right fit for it.

03

Build on a private staging link

You watch progress live and give feedback in plain words. No ticket system required.

04

Launch, then 30 days of support

Fixes and tweaks are included while the site settles in. After that, you choose what ongoing care looks like.

Honest answers first

Anything missing? Ask directly and get a reply within 24 hours.

Q1We have a logo we like. Is that a problem?

Not at all, most engagements start from an existing logo. The work is building the system around it: palette, typography, spacing and components that make everything you publish look deliberately related.

Q2How is this different from hiring a brand agency?

Scope and destination. An agency sells brand strategy decks; I build the operational layer, the tokens and components your website and marketing actually use daily. For most businesses under 50 people, that's the part that was missing.

Q3Can you apply the new brand to our existing site?

Yes, and it's the natural second step: because the styleguide ships as code, restyling your existing WordPress or Next.js site is a systematic token swap rather than a redesign from zero.
